Support for ongoing low energy and tiredness
Persistent fatigue can affect your work, mood, relationships and ability to manage everyday activities. Our Ahpra-registered practitioners consider your symptoms, health history and circumstances before discussing appropriate next steps with you.
Understanding fatigue
Fatigue is more than occasionally feeling tired. It may involve ongoing exhaustion, reduced energy or difficulty completing your usual activities.
Possible contributing factors include sleep, stress, lifestyle, medicines and underlying health conditions. Because fatigue can have many causes, persistent or unexplained symptoms should be assessed by a healthcare professional.
When a consultation may be appropriate
A consultation may be suitable if you are experiencing:
- Low energy or fatigue that does not improve with rest
- Tiredness that has continued for more than two weeks
- Fatigue affecting your work, mood or daily activities
- Changes in your sleep, appetite or ability to complete usual tasks
- Questions about your symptoms or whether further assessment may be needed
A practitioner will assess whether telehealth is appropriate for your circumstances. You may be advised to arrange an in-person examination, pathology testing or care from another healthcare service.
How it works
- Health assessment — Tell us about your energy levels, other symptoms, health history and how long you have felt this way.
- Video consultation — If telehealth is appropriate, book a consultation with an Ahpra-registered practitioner.
- Next steps — Your practitioner will assess your circumstances and discuss suitable care options with you.
- Follow-up support — Further consultations may be arranged when clinically appropriate.

Persistent fatigue can sometimes be associated with an underlying health condition. An in-person examination or further testing may be required to investigate the cause.
Call Triple Zero (000) or attend your nearest hospital emergency department if fatigue occurs with:
- Chest pain or severe difficulty breathing
